Children's Home has been serving the community for over 150 years. Our team of 400+ employees is passionate about providing counseling, education, intervention, and support to the 1,700 kids and families we serve each month. We do this through four program areas: community, clinical, placement and education. Each day our team remains committed to protecting, teaching and healing the young people in our community. Children's Home is...changing lives and saving lives.
We are dedicated to providing support, intervention and resources for families, new mothers, and youth in crisis with the goal of not letting anyone in our community fall through the cracks. For more information on the community division, click here.
We have two schools - Kiefer School and the Academy for Autism - that offer services to help students with behavioral and developmental needs fully access their education. For more information on education at Children’s Home, click here.
At times, children need alternative living arrangements when home is no longer the best place to be. Our Supervised Independent Living Program, Youth Farm (residential program), and foster care services place youth in a safe space to learn, grow and overcome their trauma. We provide mental health services in the home and community for kids and families who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. Services are aimed at reducing the emotional distress experienced by youth while improving relationships and general functioning. Get more information here.
